The Bubble Lamps developed by George Nelson for Hermann Miller have undoubtedly achieved some international fame. In Europe they are now sold by the Danish brand HAY. The collection includes various lamps with rounded contours that bathe their surroundings in a pleasant, even light. One of the most famous models is the George Nelson Saucer Bubble hanging lamp, which is reminiscent of a UFO with its gently flowing lines. George Nelson came up with the Bubble Lamp series after discovering Swedish hanging lamps. He experimented with new materials and replaced the classic fabric covering with an innovative plastic membrane.
