The Capitol Complex Office Chair by Cassina is a new edition of the famous design by the Swiss architect and furniture designer Pierre Jeanneret. The Office Chair was created between 1958 and 1959 when Jeanneret worked on numerous projects in the Indian city of Chandigarh together with his famous cousin Le Courbusier. Pierre Jeanneret was largely responsible for the interior design and, above all, the chair design. A special compositional scheme that can be found in other furnishing objects from the Capitol Complex family is the "V"-shaped support. Le Corbusier's Capitol Complex government building was added to the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2016.
