Zanat Ombra Coffee Table | Maple Black

The Ombra coffee table by Zanat is a unique piece of furniture composed of tiny "Penrose prototiles" made of solid walnut wood. These aperiodically arranged prototiles are named after the British mathematician Sir Roger Penrose. They have remarkable geometric and visual properties. Designer Jasna Mujkic has cleverly arranged the prototiles and created an abstract pattern on the tabletop that is reminiscent of the shadow of a tree. The table is manufactured with sustainability in mind and uses wood scraps that would otherwise not be recycled.
