Natural shapes and the curves of the female body inspired these lamps. Serge Mouille was a French industrial designer and goldsmith who began designing large, insect-like wall and floor lamps with multiple arms in the 1950s. His goal was a kinetic-sculptural aesthetic that creates a feeling of movement in the room.
The Serge Mouille Editions offer a new edition of the individually manufactured lamps. They correspond to the originals from the 1950s in terms of shape, proportion, material and manufacturing technique. Each design is numbered. Serge Mouille's lamps now appear in numerous international fashion and design magazines.
