Tom Dixon was inspired by India for his Beat hanging lamp series. With the help of the dying skills of Indian master craftsmen, the Beat lamps are hand-hammered from brass. There is a lot of traditional craftsmanship in the designer lamps. Nevertheless, the light bodies do not appear clumsy; on the contrary, they have an elegant, glamorous style.
