The GUBI Croissant lounge chair was designed by Danish architect and designer Ilum Wikkelsø in 1962. Wikkelsø's goal was to develop an ironic new interpretation of the classic Chesterfield sofa. The French pastry served as an inspirational reference for the designer.
Now GUBI has subtly developed the original and adapted it to today's body shapes. With its extraordinary appearance, the Croissant lounge chair is a distinctive piece of furniture with an elegant and playful expression. Ideal for setting accents, whether in the living area, at work or in the Hotel lobby.

The GUBI Croissant lounge chair consists of a frame made of solid oak. The upholstery is covered with velvety soft Chamois nubuck leather from GUBI in the color 1708 Cuoio. Chamois is a high-quality leather that gives interior design a natural, organic look. Each chair is individually handcrafted.
