The Model 548 table lamp, designed by Gino Sarfatti in 1951, is based on a study of balance and light reflection through a lampshade. The lamp's spot is adjustable, so the Model 548 offers both reflected and diffused light.

The large orange shade creates beautiful lighting effects and is an essential part of the illusion. The white aluminum light spot is mounted on a black brass rod. Another small brass rod serves as the base, creating a beautiful balance.
