Collection: Mathieu Challières

Mathieu Challieres, a trained art historian and self-taught designer, worked in advertising for a long time before he began designing objects. First, he was looking for a form of expression that required almost no capital investment and began to design lamps out of plaster. The unusual light objects quickly found fans among interior designers and renowned houses such as Le Bon Marché in Paris. In 2006, Challieres created the Volières, a unique light object that has become an icon. The Volières are now sold in around 30 countries and are handcrafted in the company's own studio in Belleville in Paris.
