The organic shape of the BARBARA bottle opener by Skultuna is inspired by the curvy Barbapapa characters that were invented in the 1970s and achieved cult status in cartoons and children's books. The name 'Barbapapa' is derived from the French word for candy floss. Swedish designer Thomas Sandell has used it to create a bottle opener that is both elegant and functional, comfortable to hold and evokes sympathy.
